Mobile-money deposit not showing in your DBBet account
If a deposit has not appeared in your DBBet balance, start with one question: did the money actually leave your wallet? Your confirmation SMS is the proof. No SMS means the payment never completed. If you have one, allow 15 to 20 minutes, then send support the transaction code.

1. Start here: did the money actually leave your wallet?
Almost every missing-deposit case splits into two completely different problems, and the fork between them is a single question. Answer it before you do anything else, because the two paths have nothing in common.
Open your SMS inbox and look for the confirmation message from your wallet. Vodacom, Tigo (YAS), Airtel and HaloPesa all send one the moment a transfer succeeds, and it contains a transaction or reference code plus the amount and the time. That message is your evidence.
- No confirmation SMS — the money is still in your wallet. Go to section 2.
- Confirmation SMS received — the money has moved and needs to be traced. Go to section 3.
Do not skip this step and start a second deposit on the assumption that the first one failed. If the first one did in fact go through, you will now have two payments to sort out instead of one.
2. No SMS: the payment did not complete
If your wallet never confirmed anything, nothing was debited, and your balance is exactly where it was. That is the good outcome — you simply need to work out why the transfer did not finish and try again. The usual reasons, in the order they actually happen:
- The PIN prompt timed out. The pop-up asking for your mobile-money PIN only stays on screen for a short window. If your phone was locked, you were on a call, or you were reading the match odds when it appeared, it disappears and the payment is abandoned. Start the deposit again and keep the screen awake.
- The prompt never arrived. On a weak signal the request can be lost between the cashier and your wallet. Move somewhere with better coverage, or switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi, and retry.
- Not enough in the wallet. Check the balance in your wallet itself, not what you think it is. Remember that your own network's transfer charges come out of the same balance.
- Below the minimum. The minimum deposit is around 1,000 TZS. Anything under it will not go through.
- A typo in the amount or the PIN. Three wrong PIN attempts can leave your wallet temporarily blocked at your network's end, which is something only your mobile operator can unlock.
3. You got the SMS: give it 15 to 20 minutes
Deposits at DBBet are instant under normal conditions, so if the money has left your wallet the balance usually updates before you have put your phone down. When it does not, the delay is nearly always at the mobile-money network rather than at DBBet — and it clusters at predictable moments, such as the twenty minutes before a big Premier League kick-off, when every wallet in the country is busy.
Allow 15 to 20 minutes. While you wait, rule out the things that make a deposit look missing when it is not:
- Refresh properly. Pull the page down to reload, or close and reopen the app. A cached screen can show you a balance from several minutes ago.
- Log out and back in. This forces the app to fetch the balance again rather than reuse what it has.
- Check you are in the right account. If you have ever registered twice on two different numbers, you may be looking at the wrong balance entirely. Our login troubleshooting guide covers how to tell.
- Look at your transaction history in the cashier as well as the balance itself.
If 20 minutes pass with a confirmation SMS in hand and no change to your balance, stop waiting and contact support. Waiting longer does not help, and the details you need are freshest now.
4. Why money sometimes leaves the wallet without crediting
These are the cases where a real, confirmed payment still does not land in the account. Support can resolve all of them, but knowing which one you are looking at makes the conversation much shorter.
- You paid from a number that is not registered on the account. This is the big one. If you topped up using a friend's phone, a second SIM, or a family member's wallet, the payment arrives with no account attached to it. It also causes trouble later, because a withdrawal can only be paid to the mobile-money number registered on the account.
- The wrong amount was sent. An amount typed manually and one confirmed in the cashier can differ by a digit. The mismatch means the payment does not match up automatically.
- The payment was sent outside the cashier flow. Always start the deposit from the cashier in the app or on the site and follow the prompt through. A transfer improvised from your wallet menu has nothing to attach itself to.
- A genuine network delay. Occasionally a mobile-money message is queued at the operator and delivered late. The transaction code is what lets it be found.
5. Exactly what to send support
This is the part that decides whether your deposit is traced today or after four rounds of questions. DBBet support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in Swahili and English. Send all five of these in your first message:
- The transaction or reference code from your confirmation SMS, copied exactly, character for character.
- The exact amount in TZS, including any digits after the decimal point if your SMS shows them.
- The exact date and time of the payment as printed in the SMS, not your best guess.
- The mobile number registered on your DBBet account, and — if they are different — the number the payment was actually sent from.
- Which wallet you used: Vodacom, Tigo (YAS), Airtel or HaloPesa.
The simplest way to get all of this right is to screenshot the confirmation SMS and attach it. It carries the code, the amount and the timestamp in one image, with no transcription errors.
Write to info-en@db-bet-team.com for payment queries. Use security@db-bet-team.com only if you believe your account or your wallet has been interfered with.
Never share your password or your mobile-money PIN with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from DBBet or from your mobile network. A transaction code is safe to share; your PIN never is.
6. A note on the Vodacom deposit bonus
Deposits made with Vodacom of USD 10 or more qualify for an extra 30% on top of the amount you put in, once a day. The qualifying threshold is set in dollars, so the shilling equivalent moves with the exchange rate — the deposit screen in the cashier always shows the current figure, and that is the number to go by rather than any amount quoted in an article. Smaller deposits credit normally, just without the extra.
If a qualifying deposit credited late and the bonus did not follow it, say so when you write to support and include the transaction code. Full terms are on the bonuses page.
7. Avoiding it next time
- Always deposit from the mobile number registered on your account. This single habit prevents most missing-deposit cases and every mismatched-withdrawal case.
- Start from the cashier, not from your wallet menu.
- Keep the phone unlocked and the screen on until the PIN prompt has been confirmed.
- Do not leave your deposit until two minutes before kick-off. Networks are busiest exactly then.
- Keep your confirmation messages. They cost nothing to keep and they are the only proof that matters.
- Deposit only what you have decided to spend. Our responsible gaming page explains the deposit limits and time-outs you can set for yourself.
